Common questions

If you don't see your question here, send us a note — we're happy to answer before you book.

Does an adjustment hurt?

Most patients feel relief rather than pain. You may hear a popping sound as gas releases from the joint, and some people notice mild soreness for a day afterward, similar to post-workout soreness.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on how long the problem has been present. Acute issues often resolve in a handful of visits; chronic conditions take longer. You'll get an estimated timeline at your report of findings, not an open-ended plan.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept most major plans and will verify your chiropractic benefits before treatment. Self-pay rates are available if your plan doesn't cover care.

Do I need a referral?

In Massachusetts you can see a chiropractor directly. Some insurance plans still require a referral, so it's worth checking with your carrier.

What is dry needling?

A thin filament needle is inserted into a tight trigger point to release the muscle. It's used alongside adjustments when muscle tension keeps pulling a joint out of alignment.

Can chiropractic help my headaches?

Frequently, yes. Tension headaches and many migraines are driven by restriction in the upper neck, which responds well to adjustment and soft tissue therapy.
